Remote Bookkeeping, Done Right

Books you can trust, closed every month.

We categorize, reconcile, and close your books every month — and clean up the mess if you are behind. You run the business. We keep the record straight.

What We Handle

Everything that keeps the books current — and everything that gets them current again.

Where We Work

Remote and nationwide. Sales tax, payroll, and filing rules differ by state — we track yours.

Your CPA gets reconciled books at tax time, not a shoebox.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you CPAs?

+
No, and we are careful about this. We are a bookkeeping firm — not a licensed CPA firm, a public accountancy firm, or a registered tax preparer. We do not perform audit, attest, or assurance work, we do not prepare or file income tax returns, and we do not give tax, legal, or financial advice. Our job is to keep your books clean and reconciled so your own CPA, enrolled agent, or tax preparer can do theirs. We hand off to licensed professionals; we are not one.

Can you do my taxes?

+
Not income taxes. California requires registration with the California Tax Education Council, or status as a CPA, enrolled agent, or attorney, to prepare income tax returns for a fee — we hold none of those. What we do is get your books to the point where filing is straightforward, then hand them to whoever files for you. If you do not have someone, we are glad to point you toward options. We do prepare and file sales and city tax returns, and prepare and e-file 1099s, which are a different thing entirely.

What does monthly bookkeeping actually include?

+
Every month we categorize your transactions, reconcile each bank and credit-card account against its statement, and deliver a profit and loss statement and balance sheet. Higher tiers add accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll journal entries, job costing, or multi-entity consolidation. The point is that your books are current and reconciled every month, not reconstructed once a year.

My books are a mess and months behind. Can you fix that?

+
That is our specialty. Cleanup is quoted at a fixed price after a short no-obligation review, so you know the cost before any work starts. Scope varies enormously — a few months behind on two accounts is a very different job from three years across several entities — so we look first and quote second. Most clients roll into a monthly package once they are current.

Do you work in QuickBooks?

+
Yes — QuickBooks Online is what we work in, and our team are QuickBooks ProAdvisors. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop we handle the move to Online, and if you do not have anything set up yet we build the file and chart of accounts from scratch around your industry.

Do you work with businesses outside California?

+
Yes. We are based in California and work remotely with businesses in all 50 states and DC. State rules genuinely matter for bookkeeping — sales tax nexus and taxability, payroll registration, and filing cadence all differ — so we keep state-specific guides for the industries where it makes the most difference.

What does it cost?

+
Monthly packages start at $200 and scale with transaction volume and complexity; cleanup projects are quoted separately at a fixed price. See the pricing page for current tiers and the add-on menu, or book a free consultation and we will recommend a fit after a quick look at your books.

Where we stop

White Glove Accounting provides bookkeeping and related administrative services to businesses and individuals. We are not a licensed CPA firm, a public accountancy firm, a registered tax preparer, a law firm, or a government agency. We do not perform audit, attest, or assurance engagements; we do not prepare or file income tax returns; and we do not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Those services are reserved for licensed or registered professionals. We prepare financial statements from records provided by the client and hand off clean, reconciled books to the CPA, enrolled agent, or tax preparer of your choosing.

That boundary is deliberate. Clean books are what a good CPA needs to do their best work — and what we are here to produce.
